Things To Consider When Shopping

On the whole these are very fine bags. That being said they could be improved by moving the actual zip lock seal further from the top edge. This would make the area where one seals the bag larger. I seal my bags with a hot iron set on "cotton" and having a larger area would 1) make sealing easier, and 2) make it so when one does open the bag by cutting off the sealed area there is a portion of the bag to grab to pull apart. A 1/2 inch (or 12mm) move would really improve the ease of sealing. A 3/4 inch (18mm) move would even allow the bags to be reused (resealed) in the future should the need arise.
The bags are significantly larger than the five gallon buckets I was using (recycled buckets with rubber sealing gaskets from a friend who owns a restaurant). Moving the zip lock seal further from the top edge would not impact the usefulness of the bag with respect to using it with five gallon buckets.
